Mark Lyda and co-counsel Byung Kim won a jury trial on behalf of their client last week. The case sought to enforce two promissory notes signed in connection with the sale of a liquor store in Lakewood, Colorado. The trial was held in Jefferson County District Court. The jury returned a verdict for breach of contract in favor of the client, and the presiding judge also awarded a contractual late charge, interest, and attorney fees and costs. Lyda performed voir dire, opening statements, cross examination, and closing arguments.
