Sydney Weiskopf

Sydney Weiskopf represents clients in the areas of Sports and Entertainment law, mainly focusing on Contracts and Intellectual Property. However, she recognizes that any legal issues encompassed within sports and entertainment can come in all shapes, sizes, and different areas of the law, and she is equipped with the skills to guide her clients through any matter. 

She attended law school at the University of Arkansas, where she graduated cum laude with her J.D. in 2023. While in school, Sydney created many opportunities for herself to get experience within sports law. She worked for two years in school in the Arkansas Razorback Athletic Department under the Associate General Counsel for Athletics where she gained experience working with contract review and negotiation; compliance and Title 9 issues; intellectual property; Freedom of Information Act requests; and Name, Image, and Likeness policies and procedures. Sydney wrote and amended various coaching contracts, as well as contributing to a significant project that involved reviewing and updating the University's athletic facilities policies and procedures. Sydney also built the Sports and Entertainment Law Society at Arkansas Law from the ground up and gave it a real presence within the law school, and served as the Arkansas Representative for the National Sports and Entertainment Law Society.

Prior to law school, Sydney graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy, as well as a minor in Anthropology. While at Richmond, Sydney was a Diver on the Varsity Swim and Dive team, and was actively involved in mentoring programs, research, and various programs for student athletes, including those promoting mental health resources for athletes. These experiences allow Sydney to understand both the athlete mindset and the administrative necessities that come with running a successful athletic department, which has enabled her to develop core competencies in law, teamwork, and research, as well as expertise in sports law and the sports industry.
