Rich Turpen

Rich Turpen is an attorney at Lyda Law Firm, where he focuses on business law, nonprofit law, and environmental law. He provides strategic counsel to businesses and nonprofit organizations on entity formation, governance, compliance, and contract negotiation. Rich also has experience advising on international sales and environmental legal issues, helping clients navigate cross-border transactions and regulatory challenges.

Before transitioning to law, Rich built a career in organizational change and leadership, holding roles in operations management, business transformation, and customer success. His background in operational efficiency and strategic development gives him a unique ability to bridge legal and business needs, ensuring that clients receive practical, results-driven legal guidance.

Rich earned his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and is committed to expanding access to justice. During law school, he deepened his understanding of social and environmental justice through coursework in Access to Justice, International Human Rights, Lawyering for Racial Justice, and Critical Readings in Race, Natural Resources, and Water Law. He brings this perspective into his practice, working to support mission-driven organizations and historically underserved communities.
