Jeanne Lau

Jeanne Lau provides legal services on civil and transactional matters for individuals and businesses. Her legal experience includes contracts, corporate law, real estate, and consumer protection. She has a particular focus on entertainment and media law, assisting creators and small businesses in the artistic space.

Prior to joining Lyda Law Firm, Jeanne worked as a banking & financial disputes lawyer at WongPartnership LLP in Singapore where she assisted with transactional matters involving corporate bankruptcy and insolvency. 

She earned her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Exeter (UK). While at university, she spent her summers doing paralegal work in Hong Kong and assisted with criminal and civil matters.

Upon graduating university, she attended the University of Law (London) where she trained to be a barrister. During this time, she gained criminal law experience through her mini-pupillage at Tooks Chambers, court marshalling for Judge Lorraine-Smith at Southwark Crown Court and involvement with Inner Temple’s police liaison scheme.

In her spare time, Jeanne is a volunteer attorney who has assisted with several pro bono matters ranging from consumer protection, disability rights, employment and family law matters.

She is fluent in Cantonese and conversational in Mandarin Chinese.
