Sydney Rendel is a Florida-licensed attorney who provides high-quality, client-centered services in education, sports, entertainment, business, nonprofit law, and estate planning. Sydney is dedicated to being a strong advocate for her clients and committed to protecting the rights of students, families, entrepreneurs, and businesses. Sydney makes it a priority to contribute to her client’s success by using her education, experience and skills to make a difference.
Sydney advocates for students through the complex challenges of the education system. Her passion for working in education law developed at a young age when her parents became foster parents to children with special needs and later adopted her youngest brother. Through Sydney’s personal experiences she has seen the unique academic, social, and emotional struggles students face. She is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Special Education degree from Florida Gulf Coast University to enhance her knowledge.
The fostering and then adoption of her youngest brother inspired her to start a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and assist nonprofits in achieving their goals and building a better future. Sydney’s focus in business law continued with her experience working with professional and collegiate athletes and entrepreneurs on a variety of legal issues. She previously worked for a sports agency and interned for the Vanderbilt University Athletic Compliance office. Through Sydney’s experience working in the sports and entertainment industry, she understands the importance of providing compassionate and comprehensive legal services that enable her clients to achieve their goals in building and fostering their businesses.
Sydney also has experience in estate planning and helping people through the challenges of life. During law school, both of Sydney’s grandmothers passed away which taught her the value of a comprehensive estate plan.
Sydney graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School where she received her Juris Doctor degree. Sydney grew up in St. Louis, Missouri where she attended Lindenwood University and played Division II college softball for the first two years of undergrad. She then transferred to the University of South Florida where she graduated from the honors college with a degree in philosophy and a minor in political science. Sydney enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, speaking for her podcast, and traveling.
